Sangría de cava (Champagne Sangria)

This recipe is not for kids! Fresh and dry, this drink will make those really hot summer days much more enjoyable, especially while you´re sitting on your balcony watching the sunset with a joint in your hand having a nice conversation. Which sounds like a perfect day to me.. Or you can just prepare it to complement a beautiful seafood dinner. Anyway, you must be careful because you´ll get drunk real fast on this and the hangover can be amazing. And probably not in a good way.

Ingredients for 4 people
  1. One bottle of cava brut (Catalan champagne). In case you cannot find this kind of champagne you can buy a bottle of dry sparkling white.
  2. Two small glasses of lemon Fanta, plus 2 small glasses  of orange Fanta (or similar tasting product (sorry for naming the brand). Whatever you use, it must be fizzy.
  3. Half glass of brandy
  4. Half glass of Cointreau (you can use other alcoholic drinks but, for me, these two are the best).
  5. One orange
  6. One lemon
  7. One peach
  8. Ice cubes
Preparation
  1. Put the champagne in the freezer till it gets really cold.
  2. Clean the citrus fruits and cut them into slices without peeling them. Do the same with the peach, chopping it into small squares.
  3. Once done drop the fruit into a big glass jug
  4. Then add the ice cubes (be generous, don´t just drop 3 or 4 in there).
  5. Add the orange and the lemon Fanta and then the liquers.
  6. Finally add the champaign trying to avoid producing foam
  7. Mix it with a ladle and leave it in the fridge. Season to taste with with sugar if you feel it needs some.

Enjoy!
